Rehearsal ~

Had a final rehearsal yesterday. It made SL soooo crowded! My god, I don't even have a place to sit.

Mei-Er took part in almost all the pieces. I doubt if she has got time to change her costumes. Well.. ok, I didn't took much pics.

He sang this piece called, Er Mao Xue. It is a piece from Li Ya Xian. I think he sang this piece very well and expressed the feelings of this song through some simple movements and expressions. I would like to be able to make more expressions too.

Sianz.. i got more photos but i cant upload. Blogspot is giving some problems.. I will post them up next time~

Lorso Taiwanese Drama

My mum is watching this Taiwanese drama now and I was surfing net at the side. This kind of taiwanese drama look all the same! Same actresses, same hairstyle and same plot. Can't they just think of some new character design?

And for the past 15 minutes, these 2 women are talking on TV, telling each other their life story. OMG... So Lorso. Now the show ended, right after the 2 woemn finished talking. I don't know why they must talk so much. I told my mum,"You don't think they are lorso meh?"

"Lorso la.. but nothing to watch mah."

Ya right, she like so engross watching it..

So happy the show finally ended then suddenly.. ta dah! Another taiwanese show... -_-"

duh.. must channel 8 broadcast all these taiwanese dramas?????

My mum watched this one before but she still watch it and the plot is almost the same as the earlier one... She admitted it herself..

Me: Is it about a man who abandon his wife/gf in order to marry a rich girl?
Mum: Yes, hahaha..
Me: I knew it.

Jobless but still busy

Due to popular request, I will blog about what I did these few days.. I am jobless as most of you might know, (any job to intro me?) but I am still so busy. I wonder why.

Today, I went to SL again. Actually, they wanted me to go at 11am but I slept till 9:30pm and recieved a sms from Susan.

Susan: What time you go SL?
Me: 11am lor, but I will be late. I sleeping.
Susan: If I pick you up at 10am, you can?
Me: Ok lor, should be can.
Susan: Ok, I pick you.

So I got ready in a jiffy. I remembered my mum told me something before I went out but I forgotz what it is..

Finally I reached SL at 10:40am. So early, I so sleepy sia.

Today rehearsal quite sian cuz they are discussing where we should stand and where we should walk to while I just stand at the side listening. I can tell that Mei - Er is rather buey song that they are discussing so long. To me, it's ok lah, I just take a break at the side lor.

Then me and the SL ppl went to have lunch together. Susan is a vegetarian so we have to go to a kopitiam with vegetarian food. I so tired and sleepy.. i insist to go home after lunch thought the SL ppl asked me to stay, Mei-Er even say that I can sleep in her room but no lah, I want to take a shower and sleep at home.

In the end, Susan sent me home (susan is so nice) but I did not sleep. I sent out alot of resumes. Sianz, I decide not to take the mediacorp job as I prefer to take a regular full time job. It is still better to find a job with normal working hours.

Today the stupid Yahoo took so damn long to attach my resume and in the end still give me an error page. I was really fedup with try to attach and re-attach the resume. It is a very slow and long process. -_-" pissed.

Anyway, I got a call from a company at Robinson Road. The girl ask me to come down for interview tomorrow. Well, Good news, at least got some response.

Just now, I went out again to meet some ex colleagues at Clarke quay. They went there to see the doll shop. Then we went to a pub .. "Indochine". I think it is kinda sad that they transformed such a beautiful old chinese house into a pub. The house used to be nice and peaceful. Now it's noisy and crowded. The deco inside is quite nice with lots of 'bing ma yong' statues. I want one in my home!!!!

I didn't drink anything there though. I don't drink alcohol and the non-alcohol drinks are too ex..

Well ya.. Didn't take any photos!!! Tm, I will be going SL in the afternoon.. I will take some photos!

I did alot of things

Today is my first day without work. I slept till 12pm. Wahahaha..... When I woke up, I saw that I have 20 missed calls! scary.. Richard wanted me to finish up the poster. Oh no.. I quicklt rushed through it and finally made it in time at 2pm. He came to my home to see it and after that we went together to Bras Basah to print it.

You guys are the first to see this poster!

I had a hard time sourcing for all those photos from various photo albums! The photos have to match their respective roles. Well, from the photos, can y0u guess who is acting what?

We printed 20 pieces then proceeded to COI to photocopy 200 pieces for distribution on this coming Saturday. Richard asked me to print the tickets but I havent done so... :P

After that, Susan called me. She want to come pick me up to SL for practice at 5pm. It was still early so Richard dropped me off at Bugis. I shopped alone for awhile, it's boring to shop alone. Fortunately, Susan arrived at 5:10pm and we went together to SL.

Today, Uncle Lim refined our movements and pointed out all the little mistakes we made. It is a good thing as I felt that few few teacher can really refine your movements to this kind of extent. Most teachers just close one eye and say,"You are doing fine." I don't want to be just fine.

This is Uncle Lim teacher Mei Er to pose. Don't see Uncle Lim like so stylo malo like that. He can really be very 'girl' when he is teaching the Dans.

Practice went on and on until about 7:30pm, Susan sent me home. So nice of her~

When I reached home, I painted my white flower green. I need a green flower for this Saturday's show to put on my head. Surprisngly, this painting work took me like 45 minutes! But the result is satisfying.

I know it looks like cabbage or Cai Xin but I DON'T allow anyone to laugh at my flower!

-_-"

Then I started painting my face.... :P I mean putting on make up. I want to practice my make up skills a bit but I am still unsatisfied with the results. Fortunately, teacher is going to help us put on the make up on this Sat.

All photos in this blog is taken by my hp, so please forgive the blurness. I know my photo a bit scary la..

Then while I am thinking of what to blog tonight... my mother suddenly shouted,"LOOK!"

I turned around and saw one of the most ridiculous scene in my life. I saw this.....

...

...

Believe it or not, this is my father..... I shouted," PLEASE STOP PLAYING WITH MY FLOWER!"

Turn of events

Note: Someone say my story no kick so I edited this post and republished it.

Version 1.2

Due to a turn of events, I decided to put a halt to my previous story and start off a new story. This story is about Country A, B and C.

Country A used to be a normal country, not rich, not poor. He worked hard to be a strong country and after some efforts, managed to see some results. Slowly, A decided to expand itself and build up some population. A needed the citizens to help him build up a powerful kingdom.

Country B was near to Country A and they were good friends. Seeing that Country A was doing well, Country B decided to follow A and asked to alliance with it. Country A agreed and so A helped B to build up it's kingdom. And so, they progress together in peace and supported each other's country when in need. They share the fruits of their labour harmoniously.

Soon, due to some unknown reason, Country C decided to alliance with A and B. Maybe Coutnry C saw that A and B are doing well and hope to share their fruits of labour? Or maybe A and B wanted C's help to build up their nation. The reason will be a mystery forever. Anyway, C decided to join in the Alliance. A and B opened arms to welcome C. The citizens of all 3 countries lived in peace and harmony.

Slowly, Country B and C became good friends. They helped each other alot and think of many ways to make their kingdoms stronger. C has very strong opnions and it always stick to it's view. It wanted it's country to move up regardless of whatsoever. C and A constantly have arguments as A do not see things the same way as C. C felt that A was hindering it's progress.

One day, B and C realised that in order to make their kingdom stronger, they have to get rid of A. Although getting rid of A will means that A will no longer support them, they decided to get rid of it along with all the immigrants from A who are residing in their country.

C, being the strong opinion one, took charge of things and ally with B to attack A. War broke out and with 2 countries against one, A gave up and broke the alliance with the other 2. B and C then forced the citizens of A who are staying in their country to get out. The citizens wanted to go back to Country A but Country A was badly hurt during the war. It can no longer support such a big population. A needs to rebuild it's country to feed it's current population. Finally, these people left Country A, B and C to look for better life in other countries.

My friends

Last few days, Richard asked me to find some friends to come to watch our show and help him to film video. So I asked several people. I do have sincere friends who are willing to come but they have got to work, so might not be able to come. The rest... did not reply me.

I got quite alot of friends, from Poly, attachment, work, schools.... but when I need to find someone to do such a simple thing for 2 hours on a Saturday evening, nobody can help. They give lame excuses like "please don't ask me" or "please let me off".

At least find a better excuse ok.

I told Richard that I can't find anyone. He ridiculed me and said that I don't have any friends. My father says that he can count my friends with one hand. He said everyone else at least invited 2 or 3 friends, a newcomer invited 7 friends but me, as a lead actress, did not manage to find one friend to come.

Haiz.. Sometimes I think, friends are just for entertainment purposes.

My sister had a concert

I think slimming ads are kind of crap. They always use those super models who are never fat before. They are already so skinny since the day they were born.So how do you convince me that your machine or whatever pills can make me slim? Your models are already so slim that they don't have to use your product. Why not you endorse me and take a 'before and after' picture of me after I successfully lost weight? Crappy.

Today, 2 colleagues came to visit my home, just a normal visit. They saw my portfolio which I didn't touch for the past 3 years and they tried to play my Guzheng. Not bad not bad, Mel is working very hard on the guzheng.

After that we watched an episode of SP, SouthPark. An episode called "The Jeffersons". It is super funny lor ok. There is Micheal Jackson in this episode and he keep making funny 'woo hoo' noises.

Throughout my colleague's visit, my sister was having a concert in her room. She sing and sing and sing NON-stop and I mean like NON-STOP. Her Hello kitties took turn to sing a song each amd finally my sister herself decided to sing a song to. As usual she copied me and my mum's opera movements.

Very the BHB can.. She not paiseh one. We were like watching her and she continued to sing like the whole world is her audience.

I am starting to have butterflies in my stomach whenever I thought of 4 March...

The Prince and 7 Dwarfs

Once upon a time, in the land where flowers bloom and river flows, there was a Prince. Everyone call him Prince Charming because he was charming.

One Day, he went hunting in the forest. Soon, he spotted a rabbit and started chasing it.

Prince: Yeeee HA! I will hunt you down, Bunny!

*swish*

Rabbit: Aaaahhh..... (I know rabbit don't make noises, just imagine can?)

Happily, the prince picked up the injured rabbit. The prince was still gloating over his little trophy when he realised that he was lost.

The sun was setting, the birds stopped singing and the prince's horse was almost dozing off.

The prince, being his usual confident self, thought nothing of it. He led his horse and started looking for the way out.

Prince: Tra la la~ *singing*

The prince spotted a light some where between the trees. He was very happy thinking that he can finally ask for directions or ask for help. As he approached the light, he saw that the light was coming from a small cottage.

*knock knock*

Voice: who's there?

Prince: Prince charming.

*Gasp!*

The door open and the prince saw that there were 7 dwarfs. Each of them was of different shape and size. There were small one, fat one, skinny one etc.

The 7 dwarfs were very happy that Prince charming came to their cottage. They have been waiting for him for a long time. 6 of the 7 dwarfs were evil and they knew that if they get the true love and kiss from the prince charming, they will turn into beautiful ladies. However, only one of them is going to finally win the love of the prince. The 7th dwarf is a kind dwarf but with the other 6 evil dwarfs around, will he finally win the love of the prince?

To be continued...

Costumes

Remember that I took photos for the Qian Nv You Hun show before? Sadly, teacher is going to change the costumes. I think the costumes she arranged for us are rather strange. The first one consist a 'Du Dou', a long jacket, skirt and belt. Abit too sexy.. :P

I need to change a few costumes and I saw that one of the costumes is a neon, bright pink sparkling dress with liang pian. I told my mum that I will be so BrIgHt on stage. Fortunately, the other costumes are not so bright and without liang pian.

The water sleeve was changed to a very thin and light material. I can't do anything with this kind of watersleeve as they are too light. They fly away when I try to flip them up.

A bit scared that the costumes are are going to hinder my performance. At the end of the performance, all the liang pian is going to be on the floor..

Time: 7pm
Venue: Tampines ChangKat CC
Tickets: $15 $10

My teacher want us to sell tickets but when she ask me how many I am buying, I told her that I am not buying. She was surprised that I did not invite anyone to come see the show. It is my first time doing a full female lead role and normally the leads will invite more people to come see them.

Reasons are simple:

1) My friends wouldn't come, they are just not interested whether I am lead or not lead.

2) Didn't invite opera friends cuz I am already very stress without their presence.

Among my big circle or friends, less than 5 came to see my performance before. I can't be bothered to ask anymore.

Tuan Bai

Tuan Bai means a troupe bai nian together. This even is quite important to SL so on 5 Feb, I got rehearsal from 11-1:30pm and after that I went SL.

The lion dance was already over and they were playing some music for the guests. There were quite alot of peoplewhich most of them I had never seen before. I was kind of sloppily dressed cuz I rushed over from my practice. The others were wearing vibrant clothes.

The guest were going to lao yu sheng after a few music pieces.

So many people trying to lao the yu sheng. We only prepared 3 plates of yusheng.

This photo is funny, they were standing so STRAIGHT ok. WHy? hahha

This is Shibao's daughter. She is very cute leh, only 5 years old and is very smart already. hoho..

This is our Chairman, Mr Ding. He is quite a gentleman, very soft spoken. He only comes to SL when there is a big event.

After the tuan bai, The youngsters started chatting and we chatted a bit while I wait for Susan to come, just wanna say hi to her. As usual, she is late. She came when most of the people has left.

She asked me if I want to got ktv with her. Ok lor, since I nothing to do. I asked my mum along. My mum can never resist KTV man..

This susan... is very crazy one, she was dancing when I told her I want to shoot a photo. She gave me this pose~

I very tired liao.. If I got time then I edit this post. I am going to ZZzzz..

Reunion

So many things to bl0g! The smell of the stinky fish is gone.. finally.

I am going to blog about our reunion on last Saturday. I am abit not used to it to have another aunt and 3 more cousins suddenly.

Friday night, my grandma stayed overnight in my home and my uncle is supposed to come here to fetch her to my aunt's house for reunion. My grandma didn't know anything and she thought she was going out for visiting.

My uncle came at 10:30am and he drove my grandma while my father drove us.

We reached the block and wanted to go up but there is something wrong with lift. It keeps beeping even though it is not overweight. So, my grandma, my parents and me went up first. We waited by the lift for my uncle to come up. After some time, they finally arrived. The door opened with my uncle's family and 3 other people.

A woman walked out and stretched out her hand to my grandmother and said,"happy new year, mother."

My grandma, abit stunned, didn't know why this woman called her mother but she said "happy new year" anyway. Immediately, I know that the woman is the lost aunt.

Lost aunt," You don't recognise me ah? I am ah geok!"

Grandma," Ah geok ah?"

My grandma abit blur and she was quite expressionless. They then proceeded to my other aunty's house.

I was a bit surprised that my grandma was expressionless. haha I thought she will be very surprised. Instead, she only smiled.

We chatted for some time and came to know that one of my cousin is getting married in March. My grandma might have a great grandchild soon!

Photos~

From left, grandma, lost aunt, another aunt, my mum... They got the same face!! wahahaha..... I still have 3 uncles but they are not in the photo...

After that, we went to lao yu sheng again at a kopitiam nearby.

From left, my new cousin, my father, my uncle. hahaha... New cousin, sounds funny.

This year, I lao yusheng many times leh. I even lao a vegetarian yusheng with Susan. hahah

Chu Er

I am suffocating! My god! The fish my mum is cleaning stinks!!!! I want to vomit....*urgghh..* stanks.

Back to my Chu Er. Chu Er, is irregular, unlike Chu Yi. This year, we went to a relative's house in Hougang. Our relationship is kinda complicate. She is my mother's father's brother's wife. We will call her po po for convenience in this entry. Popo's daughter just gave birth to a cute girl.....

As cute as me!

After that, my father fetch us to go lao yu sheng. Yeah.... Our Yusheng got add extra ingredient which my father prepared himself.

Abalone!!!

Lao ah!

And this ended my Chu Er.

Chu Yi

Chu yi was a fine day with lotsa sunlight and smiles. The birds were singing happily in the trees and my yang liu bloomed fake plum flowers.... All was so nice... :D

Me happily taking photo with my Ying Liu... Then my brother also took one.. before going out to bai nian.

First destination is to my grandmother's house, as usual. She was alone at home as Uncle went Malaysia with his wife. Later, another uncle's family came and we chatted a bit. My sis, as usual, took out all the toys in the cupboard to play. -_-

My grandma

After that, we went to my father's godmother's home, which is my godgrandmother. hee hee, coincidentally, I met all my cousins in the carpark. At my godgrandmother's house, as usual, we gossiped. Forgot to take pic of that.

Then we proceeded to my third aunt's home while my parents went home. They gotta prepare the big dinner at my home at night. So, me and the other cousins went to my third aunt's home.

My cousins~ I think most of my cousins are girls~

My relatives~ They all got the surprised looks cuz I took this photo without warning.

After this, they all went to my home for dinner, chatting and gambling. They gambled most of the time. This kinda ended my Chu Yi. Every Chu Yi every year is the same. The routine is always the same. I think I will write the same thing in my blog next year~

Long lost aunt

Often on tv, you can see stories of long lost child, long lost sister, long lost father etc. My family too has a long lost relative, my aunt aka my mum's sister.

This long lost sister was an elder sister of my mum and I think the story goes like, she ran away from home when she was still a kid because she was always beaten up by the employer of my grandma. That time my grandma was washing clothes for a woman and that woman always beat up my grandma and my aunties. She scolded my eldest aunt so much that she finally ran away from home. From then on, we never saw her again. At that time, my mum was still a kiddo!

I remembered that I once saw a family photo in my grandma's house and I saw that there were 5 children in the photo instead of 4, so I asked my mum who was the extra one. My mum told me that the extra one was the eldest daughter in the family but she ran away from home years ago. From then on, I know the existence of another aunt.

Already 40 long years went by, my mum never found the sister. Then suddenly, a call came from the second daughter of the family. She informed my mum that they found the eldest sister! Moreover, she was just staying opposite my second aunt!

In fact, it was my mum's brother who found the lost sister. He found her through a friend who can check it from the computer. I wonder which company the friend works in to be able to search.

Anyway, my mum is rather excited to see her again. My second aunt can't wait and since the lost sister is just living opposite her, she went banging on her door.

Tomorrow morning is the day when there will be a gathering for the family.

Oh yah, and my grandma still doesn't know about it! She will get a shock tomorrow when she sees the long lost daughter!

Being an ultimate kpo, I decided to tag along to the gathering tomorrow and checks if anyone cries.... hee hee....

My drawing

Long time ago, I drew iguanas for a school project. I was in NYP first year and our studio project was to do research on an animal we are assigned to. The first time I did it, I was assigned to do a mousedeer. What a boring animal. I failed the project. When I retook it, I did the Green iguana.

I must pass the project this time so I took lots of hardwork to go to the zoo and take pictures, draw.. etc. For the project, I must draw the iguana's various body parts and do a painting of it. Finally, my research must complete with a model of the iguana which i made using paper cups and brushes.

Here is a picture of the iguana i drew.

It really took me alot of time to draw this head. Trust me.

And I painted this too. Not so nice but i tried my best.

Fortunately, I passed this project. If not I might have to repeat my year 1.

滕王阁序

In Tang Dynasty, there was a talented poet named, Wang Bo 王勃. One day, he was walking past the opening of 滕王阁 and there was a big feast there. The owner of 滕王阁 wanted to show off his great building so he invited Wang Bo too.

The owner initially wanted his son-in-law to show off his flair in poems, so he invited all the guests to write a poem regarding his Teng Wang Ge. Nobody dared to write anything as everyone knew the purpose of the owner. The paper and brush was passed around but no one touch it.

Wang Bo was sitting at the end of the hall as he was one of the last guest to be invited. When the paper and brush reached him, he just picked it up and started writing.

Seeing this, the owner was rather unhappy and found an excuse to leave the hall. Wang Bo, being young, was not sensitive with the behaviour on the owner and continued to write.

The servant of the owner started passing messages to the owner informing him what Wang Bo wrote.

豫章故郡,洪都新府。星分翼轸,地接衡庐。襟三江而带五湖,控蛮荆而引瓯越。

This was the first line, it clearly stated out the location of Teng Wang Ge.

"hmph!", thought the owner.

潦水尽而寒潭清,烟光凝而暮山紫.

"smart alec," thought the owner.

临帝子之长洲,得天人之旧馆。层台耸翠,上出重霄;飞阁翔丹,下临无地。

"not so bad, in fact," thought the owner.

落霞与孤鹜齐飞,秋水共长天一色。

*slaps the table* "Hao ah! (good)" exclaimed the owner.

He immediately stood up and went to Wang Bo's side to watch him finish the poem.

Those parts I mentioned above is not the full 序 and it is not the poem. It is just an introduction to the Teng Wang Ge and the poem.

Then Wang Bo proceeded to complete the poem.

And Wang Bo became famous.

My favourite line is 落霞与孤鹜齐飞,秋水共长天一色。Imagine the scene... awwww.. isn't it just beautiful?

I forgot where I heard this story before, I think it is from some lit books. :D

Cotton Wool

Shucks.. my mum suggested that I put cotton wool on my wounds. Now the cotton wool is stuck on my knees. So ugly! The cotton wool has hardened and is much more difficult to remove now. Sianz.. looks like I got to keep putting the bandage to hide my ugly knees plus cotton wool.

Must be wondering why I don't use plaster right? Cuz i am allergic to plasters!

I was also unfortunate

I was also unfortunate! Maybe because I read too much of the Series of Unfortunate Events. Yesterday, I was going back to my office after lunch when I fell down on the road. Luckily I never fall flat on the road, else there will be scars on my face. Anyway, I fell on my knees and immediately, the top layer skin was scrapped off. It wasn't so painful at that moment so I just walked back to my office.

Someone commented that Mel is a very caring person. Mel, the caring person, was like very enthusiastic yesterday to help me clean my wounds. The office's first aid was never been used before and I am the first to use it. Man, I should be honoured. -_-"

Mel very artistically bandage my knees for me. She said that bandaging the wounds will prevent it from leaving scars behind. Since I am allergic to plaster, I might as well bandage it. She wanted to clean my wounds with a piece of wet wool. I screeched and told her that I can do that myself. Though my knees were not really painful, I cannot stand the pain of water/medicine touching my wounds. Since young, I never let water touch my wounds when I am injured.

Artistically bandaged

What happened?

At the end of the day, I still went shopping with my colleagues. hahaha...

A Series Of Unfortunate Events

Recently, I have been very addicted to reading a series of books named 'A Series Of Unfotunate Events'. Yes, I got to know this book from the movie by Jim Carey. The movie was not bad but the books were fantastic!!!

There were already 12 books published and I have bought 7 books. Now, I am searching for the 8th. Unlike other children's book, this book is described by the author as gloomy, sad, disturbing and is not suitable to those with a weak heart. In fact, these books were extremely funny and and Lemony Snicket, the author, is so so witty at writing.

Here is an introduction of the books written by Lemony Snicket:

Dear Reader,

I'm sorry to say that the book you are holding in your hands is extremely unpleasant. It tells an unhappy tale about three very unlucky children. Even though they are charming and clever, the Baudelaire siblings lead lives filled with misery and woe. From the very first page of this book when the children are at the beach and receive terrible news, continuing on through the entire story, disaster lurks at their heels. One might say they are magnets for misfortune.

In this short book alone, the three youngsters encounter a greedy and repulsive villain, itchy clothing, a disastrous fire, a plot to steal their fortune, and cold porridge for breakfast.

It is my sad duty to write down these unpleasant tales, but there is nothing stopping you from putting this book down at once and reading something happy, if you prefer that sort of thing.

So you see, his writing style is different from other authors and instead of promoting his book, he seems to be telling people not to read his sad stories.

I decided to include an excerpt of the book:

The book you are holding in your two hands right now -- assuming that you are, in fact, holding this book, and that you have only two hands -- is one of two books in the world that will show you the difference between the word “nervous” and the word “anxious.” The other book, of course, is the dictionary, and if I were you I would read that book instead.

Like this book, the dictionary shows you that the word “nervous” means “worried about something”--you might feel nervous, for instance, if you were served prune ice cream for dessert, because you would be worried that it would taste awful--whereas the word “anxious” means “troubled by disturbing suspense,” which you might feel if you were served a live alligator for dessert, because you would be troubled by the disturbing suspense about whether you would eat your dessert or it would eat you. But unlike this book, the dictionary also discusses words that are far more pleasant to contemplate. The word “bubble” is in the dictionary, for instance, as is the word “peacock,” the word “vacation,” and the words “the” “author's” “execution” “has” “been” “canceled,” which make up a sentence that is always pleasant to hear. So if you were to read the dictionary, rather than this book, you could skip the parts about “nervous” and “anxious” and read about things that wouldn't keep you up all night long, weeping and tearing out your hair.

But this book is not the dictionary, and if you were to skip the parts about “nervous” and “anxious” in this book, you would be skipping the most pleasant sections in the entire story. Nowhere in this book will you find the words “bubble,” “peacock,” “vacation,” or, unfortunately for me, anything about an execution being canceled. Instead, I'm sorry to say, you will find the words “grief, “despair,” and “woeful” as well as the phrases “dark passageway,” “Count Olaf in disguise,” and “the Baudelaire orphans were trapped,” plus an assortment of miserable words and phrases that I cannot bring myself to write down. In short, reading a dictionary might make you feel nervous, because you would worry about finding it very boring, but reading this book will make you feel anxious, because you will be troubled by the disturbing suspense in which the Baudelaire orphans find themselves, and if I were you I would drop this book right out of your two or more hands and curl up with a dictionary instead, because all the miserable words I must use to describe these unfortunate events are about to reach your eyes.

The above was taken from the first chapter of the 6th book which I am reading now, titled "The Ersatz Elevator: Book the Sixth ".

Trust me, this book is really entertaining and I am already hooked on it. I hope to buy all the books soon!

Flasher

I suddenly rememeber that I promised to blog about a flasher I have seen in school before. Almost forgot about it until I read my previous post.

I have seen quite a few flashers before but the first time I saw a flasher was in my primary school. Once again, this story involves PJ, Judy and me. As usual, we loiter in the old Cedar girls sec's stadium. The stadium was big and there were 3 spectators stand.. or whatever you call that. To show you guys a better picture of my school, I drew a layout of it.

Nice right? hee hee... ok, just for your info, the spot where we found the dead bird was right in front of the pink school building. As you can see, the primary school and the secondary school was only seperated by a useless fence. The 3 red boxes around the stadium are the spectators stands.

We were at the spectator stand nearest to the fence and were talking about some childish topics. Suddenly, we notice a man sitting under of the trees. It was an old man, maybe around 40 years old, wearing dirty clothes and his hair was a mess. We thought it was weird to have a strange man loitering in our school compounds but we tried to ignore him and continue talking.

Now and then we will glance at that man and suddenly, one of us, I forgot which, noticed something strange. He was personal part was revealed. Being innocent at that time, we didn't know what that was and we asked each other if we have seen anything like that before. Someone, again I forgot who, suggested that it might be his XXX. We were terrified at the strange thing and the strange man and the idea that he was flashing. We ran back to our school to inform the first teacher we saw.

The other students around us were very kpo so when we ran towards that tree, it was a big group of about 20 students and a teacher. Hoever, the man was not there anymore. He disappeared already. Too bad, I would have like that man to get a good scolding or get a police to catch him for being so indecent in a school compound.

This incident didn't stop us from going back to our favourite spot in the stadium though....

Phuket!

I wanted to blog this some time ago but I was rather sick so it dragged till now. I went to Phuket on 13Jan-15Jan, some of my friends thought I disappeared into thin air as none of them were able to find me.

It's a company trip and we had 2 staff from China joining us in Phuket. The trip was nice but unfortunately, I didn't really like Phuket much. Going once is enough for me.

On 13 Jan, we scheduled a flight on 7am which means we have to gather at the airport at 5am. I was still groggy when I woke up at 4am then I realised that I was late cuz I am sharing cab with a colleague and he is already on his way here. I rushed through everything and ended up forgetting bring my toothbrush and facial foam. Hate such early flights.

At Changi airport..

I decided to dye my hair in Phuket cuz it's so cheap! The above photo is not me but I was bored in the salon while waiting for the dye to go into my hair so I took this. I tell you. I sit there for 2 hours, they bleached, washed, dye, blow, comb, straighten and finally put gel for me. All for $6!!! Believe it or not! Also, I fell asleep while they were straightening my hair... ZZzzz..

In case you are wondering, I didnt bleach all of my hair of cuz. Hxy will kill me. I just dyed three parts under my hair, near my neck.

Simon Caberet show! Hee hee... Pretty tranny yo. I think I don't need to describe how pretty the trannies are already. My friend said they are like barbie dolls.

This photo doesn't do justice to the nice scenery up there at the krata or kata viewpoint. The colours were more vibrant. In the picture, we can see 3 beaches of Phuket. These beaches were affected by the Tsunami. Imagine you were up here when the tsunami came... What a scene.

They decided to do this All Terrain Vehicle thing and as I am a sissy, I am not interested in getting all the dust on my face. So a few other girls and me decided to go shopping in a souvenir shop nearby. By the way, the word 'souvenir' means 'remember' in French.

I always bring either this pudu or another doggy whenever I go overseas so I can take a picture of them. Here is pudu standing by the window in the hotel room. Speaking of the hotel, our hotel rooms are on the 4th floor and there is no lift! Can you believe that? We climbed like hell up the stairs with our luggage. After a whole day outside, we have to climb up a freakin 4 storeys staircase.

Then of course we went to the night market for shopping. However, I think shopping in Phuket sucks. We have to bargain alot and even after bargaining, the price of the item is like in Singapore. For example, my friend want to buy the necklace from the above picture, the first price given to us was I think 450baht. That is $18.75. After bargaining, it was 250 baht, $10.40. I can buy a necklace with that price in Singapore too.

We went to one bag shop and the shop owner quoted an outrageous price of 1850 baht ($77) for a simple, non-branded bag! I told him,"We can buy a branded bag with this price in Singapore." With that, we left the shop. I think those ang mohs do not bargain alot and hence all the shop owners are not keen at bargaining with us.

Shopping sucks but at least we had good food! The food was really nice at those road side shops. Better than the restaurants. Anyway, the restaurants are far too EXPENSIVE.

Look at the amount of tourists!!! The beach is so overcrowded but the sea is empty. All the angmohs prefer to sit on the beach then go into the water.

On the last day, I finally got a chance to take photo on the beach before checking out. You can see that there is no one in the sea...

Sheena is still drunk when we were checking out. She just stay like that and drag herself all the way like this to the airport.

This silver aeroplane is so cool! The real thing look nicer but too bad my camera did not capture the coolness.

Bye bye Phuket!

I think going to Phuket once is enough for me. The place is really overcrowded and the things are so expensive. It looks like Bangkok with a beach in fact.

To end this entry, I will show u all the pretty photos of trannies taken off the Simon Cabaret website. Please don't drool on your keyboard!

Pretty??
